A Quick NBA Live 2010 10 Video Game Overview For The PlayStation Or Xbox

This is an NBA Live game review for PlayStation and Xbox. NBA Live is one of EA's most popular video games. Each year, numerous basketball games are released but NBA Live's yearly version always seems to be among the front runners. 2010's edition is no different, with its quality graphics, user input, and animations, this very last version of NBA Live has received extremely positive reviews.

NBA Live 2010 featured additional jerseys, a first for the franchise. Throwback jerseys from the 1980s and 1990s were added in as well as several alternate ones for a number of teams. Using special codes, even more uniforms and shoes can be unlocked. It is unsure if every team will receive new game jerseys but two codes have been announced so far and more are likely to come.

The graphics in this game received a massive overhaul. The game features quicker and smoother animations that allow for maximum play. Items like the lights and courts were designed to look very realistic. It's a bit grainy when enhanced on plasma screens but generally looks extremely well.

Other smaller graphics like the background and the players are more detailed as well. Unlike previous installments, this year's NBA Live game has a much more realistic background. The members of the crowd were designed to look more real and lifelike. Even the players themselves were give more exact and personal details such as tattoos, hairstyles, and other accessories. The basketball stars in this edition were made to be more easily recognized than previous ones.

The game's controls were altered slightly so that it isn't necessary to control the players one hundred percent of the time. Using this auto mode can result in more turnovers though. For those who want to, it is quite possible to expand the control over the players. The game play is simple enough so that even people who have never played a basketball game can quickly get the hang of it. Actions like shooting and passing are both single button functions. And both the Xbox and PlayStation controllers use the right joy stick to move the basketball players. Playing defense is simple as well, simply position your player near one from the other team and he will do the rest automatically. The revamp of the players' DNA from previous versions has largely improved too. The last edition's DNA will update each NBA player's abilities and attitudes nearly instantly. This latest version will also let players to compete in real games nearly as they occur in real time. And with the NBA's rosters and change ups updating immediately inside the game, it means for a much better Dynasty Mode too. The soundtrack was updated and revamped for this version to include more current bands and artists. There are more songs this year and that cuts down drastically on the music's redundancy during the game and training mode. They were programmed to change and react to the beat of the games.

FIFA Soccer Games For XBox And Playstation - The Adjustments And Improvements

The FIFA games have a long heritage stretching back to 1993. It's spanned across every major games console since then and was the first game to receive the official license from FIFA, the world governing body of football. Many of the latest games include exclusively-licensed leagues and teams, giving a boost over the competition. Its growth since the original game is phenomenal and is heavily based on community feedback in some cases. It's released annually and is published and developed by Electronic Arts. Considered the best games, the FIFA soccer games for XBox and Playstation have seen some of the biggest expansion in terms of content.

2006

The first FIFA Xbox 360 game, it was an iteration of refinement. The team count was lowered in order to increase the focus on the remaining four leagues, as well as the additional national teams. The crowd also saw several improvements as it can now respond to the game's events, as well as it being local to the region. Also, there may be pockets of the crowd that are away support and will react accordingly. These crowd changes bring a lot more life into the games and have been met with a positive reaction by the players.

2007 - FIFA 08

Improvements from the previous game include 'Be a Pro Mode', which allows a player to play the match as a single player (bar goalkeeper), as opposed to the ability to swap between them. Thanks to the advancement of multiplayer in many games, online cooperative play is now included and the online portion of the game now includes interactive leagues. This allows to choose a league and team to play against a real opponent and has been improved since similar, previous features by including trick moves. Overall changes in the game mark a decrease in the speed of the game.

2008

As with all of the FIFA games, there are a number of improvements. Hundreds, according to the game's producer. Improved responsiveness is also a noted change, which allows for more control over the ball and a shoulder-to-shoulder system that takes into account the players' strength when they jostle. A further expansion of this system allows for a massive overhaul of the player-to-player collision system that takes into account each player's speed, weight and power. Additionally, the goalkeeper has been improved to have better reactions, faster recovery and better positioning.

Following even this large assortment of changes, there are further improvements to the weather and time. While in Manager mode, there are no weather effects, but Kick-Off mode allows for rain and snow matches. Dependent on the stadium, matches can be played during the day, dusk or night.

FIFA 10

The latest game to be released, it has less improvements than the previous game, but perhaps more important for some. The Manager mode has been overhauled in many ways. It now shows news about other users' Manager Mode events and an Assistant Manager can be used to look after some of the game's other features, such as the team line up. The Auto-Resolve matches are now based on each team's strength, rather than random, as it was suggested in the past. The football players now improve based on ingame performance rather than the previous manual improvements.
